WE USE COOKIES IN ORDER FOR OUR WEBSITE TO WORK PROPERLY
What are “cookies”?
A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your computer or mobile device when you visit the website.
Thanks to these cookies the website agriturismo-lagrotta.com remembers your actions and preferences (for example login, language, size of characters, other visualization settings), so that you don’t have to re-enter them each time you navigate from one page to the other.
What are the main types of “cookies”?
There are two types of cookies:
owner’s cookies: subject and accessible only to the domain that has created them.
third party cookies: subject to and created by external domains.
These in hand can be:
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used only at the end of “the transfer of a communication on an electronic network, or if it is strictly necessary for the provided of a service –from the society/company that has been explicitly requested from by the user.”
These are not used for ulterior purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or administrator of the website.
They can be subdivided into “navigation or session cookies”, which guarantee the normal navigation and usage of the website (for instance allowing the user to buy or to login to access reserved areas).
Profile cookies
Profile cookies are meant to create user profiles and are used for the sole purpose of sending advertisement messages online, with the preferences set by the user when navigating online. Due to the invasive character that such devices can have in users’ private sphere, the European and Italian law states that the user must be properly informed about the use of these cookies and, if in agreement, express their valid consent.
Analysis and Performance cookies
Analysis and performance cookies are used to, in an anonymous way, retrieve and analyze data traffic on a website. For example, these cookies -even without identifying the user due to its anonymous character– make it possible to determine if the user connects to the site again in different moments. They also have no impact whatsoever in the quality of navigation or restriction of website functions.
WHICH COOKIES DOES OUR SITE USE?
Joomla Cookie (navigation cookie)
They have the sole purpose of recognizing users that are logged in, allowing access and navigation within the site, even in the reserved areas.
Performance Cookie (navigation cookie)
They have the purpose of saving data online to fasten and optimize the user’s future visits on the site, and therefore offering a faster and cheaper navigation.
Google Analytics (third party cookies)
Our site also uses the service offered by Google Inc. in order to retrieve statistical data, useful to assess the usage and traffic of visitors on the site. Google “remembers” the retrieved data from the cookies on servers that can be remotely located, even in the United States. Google reserves the right to transfer the collected data to a third party when it is requested by law or in the case a third party might process the data by its own account. Google will not associate your IP address to any other data on its possession with the purpose of getting a more detailed user profile. Further information on how to administer your privacy and to reject or eliminate this type of cookie is available at this link. The user can selectively disable the actions of Google Analytics by installing on his/her own browser the opt-out option, provided by Google. To disable data collection from Google Analytics, follow this link.
Embedded content (third party cookie)
This site sometimes uses Youtube and Vimeo, social network content such as Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and if needed embedded content from other platforms. This site cannot control the cookies that these third party sites might have, and because of this it is advised that the user gets informed directly on those sites if he/she wishes to have greater control over those cookies. Here are some useful direct links to the cookie policy of the above mentioned third parties:
COOKIE MANAGEMENT
The user can decide whether to accept or reject the cookies by managing the settings in his/her browser.
Attention: the total or partial disabling of technical cookies can compromise the functionality of the site reserved to registered users. On the contrary, the access to public content on the site will not be affected by the total disabling of the cookies.
The disabling of the “third party cookies” does not undermine navigation in any way. The settings can be defined specifically for the different websites and web applications. Furthermore, the best browsers consent the user to define diverse settings for cookie owners and for those of third parties. For example, on Firefox, through its menu Tools→ Options→ Privacy→, it is possible to access a control panel where the user can accept or not the different types of cookies and proceed to its disabling.
